 Day 3 Date 28/09/2017

• ·                      Things I learned and did today: I checked my knowledge of vowel characteristics, practiced the vowel “fleece” and the intonation of dialogs at page 22.
• ·                      For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent: Medium pitch level in the speech, the wrong pronunciation of “trap” vowel and lack of linking elements (r, j).
• ·                       I would give 6 points out of 10 for my pronunciation today because of wrong intonation: as I said earlier, it’s difficult for me to show fall-rise and rise-fall tones. At the same time, I liked my pronunciation of “fleece” and “kit” vowels and the use of fluency and “clear l”.
• ·                       For today, English speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent: Medium pitch level, lack of fluency and substitution of tens vowels for lax ones.
• ·                        I would give 4 points out of 10 for my partner’s pronunciation today because of good aspiration and the use of weak forms.
• ·                        Impressions for today’s lesson: I liked the last part of the lesson when we practiced dialog reading.

• ·                      To improve my results, I should do the following task at home: I’ll do the shadowing of the book “Persuasion” (5 fragments for 15 min).
