Day 15  Date 15/03/2018

  •  Things I learned and did today: I learned how to make correct aspirated sounds “k” and “t” and practiced pronouncing them in the tongue twister.
  • For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent:  Mid-level tone of some tones – High-Fall, Rise-Fall, Fall-Rise.
  • I would give 6  points out of 10 for my pronunciation today because I don’t have problems with aspiration and vowel sounds but still I do mistakes in intonation.
  • For today, English speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent: Open vowel sounds, weak forms, tempo, and rhythm.
  •  I would give points 7 out of 10 for my partner’s pronunciation today because of mistakes in the intonation (stress, wrong rhythm, intonation pattern (she chose the wrong nucleus in some sentences). On other hand, there is a good progress in pronunciation of the vowels and aspirated consonants.
  • Impressions for today’s lesson: As I was a teacher for a short period, I gained important experience in a communication with a class (group). I tried a new role and observed teaching process from a different side. The tasks that I gave students were too difficult to them. Nevertheless, the tasks were very useful as they helped to discover some problems.
  • To improve my results, I should do the following task at home:  I will listen to the next dialogue and practice my listening skills.
