Day 10  Date 08/12/2017

  •  Things I learned and did today: Practiced the “thought” vowel by repeating  tongue twisters (Dora’s daughter, Four explores) and learned the intonation patterns in different types of questions.
  • ·  For today, my English speech has the following features of Russian accent: problems with rising nuclear tones, linking “r”, pronunciation of open vowels and aspirated consonants.
  •   I would give 4  points out of 10 for my pronunciation today because of mistakes in pronunciation of vowels ( they have a Russian accent).
  • For today, English speech of my partner has the following features of Russian accent: mid-level tone, lack of fluency and wrong intonation patens and stresses in the words.
  •    I would give points 3 out of 10 for my partner’s pronunciation today because of mistakes in the stress and intonation.
  • Impressions for today’s lesson: Very informative and interesting. We learned how to use intonation in questions and improved our skills in reading.
  • To improve my results, I should do the following task at home: I’ll practice the intonation of the questions by founding and repeating the examples from the series of Downton Abbey.
